Before starting this piece, I had been on the hunt for a technical challenge. Specifically, an inspiration with bizarre lighting & and extreme detailing- my favorite. When I found this photo of her, I fell in love with it. I absolutely intimidated by the level of detail the photo had, & by the fact I was about to paint a woman who has single handedly inspired so much of my expression. Once I felt the resistance & nervousness to begin, I knew I was ready to face it and dive into it. She became my muse in more ways than one.
